Mirzapur fame actress Shweta Tripathi recently married her long-time sweetheart Chaitanya Sharma (aka SlowCheeta), a famous actor and rapper. She is popularly known for her roles in movies like Masaan, Haramkhor, and the Mirzapur web series. Shweta even mentioned how they both met in a statement, “We performed a play together, that’s how we met. But, at that time I didn’t think of him as more than my co-actor. After the play was over, we landed on a flight to Bombay together, those two hours we spent while non-stop talking— when we realize that we both were certified, crazy divers! And I landed in Bombay with the confirmation that I found a new best friend.”
Devika Narain designed their wedding, the same person who made the Tuscany wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma happen. Both bride and groom look amazingly beautiful in their wedding pictures. It was an intimate wedding where only close friends and family were available.
Wedding celebration begins with love
The wedding started with the Mehendi function in Mumbai that helped at the house of the bride, i.e. Shweta’s best friend. The fun-filled evening was graced by the presence of the bride in the yellow dress. Her beautiful Mehendi reflects the story of their true and fun love. She had a rollercoaster made on one hand because it was when they began dating and others had an airplane since it was the moment when their journey started. Along with these funny and momentous things she even had her wedding date and masks representing the theatre where they first met.
The ceremony was then followed by the pre-wedding celebration at Arth, Mumbai where Shweta turned heads in a pink-colored floral gown while the groom Chaitanya wore a bandh gala. The look is absolutely inspiring for the brides-to-be that they can opt for their engagement functions. Shweta complimented her pink gown with floral jewelry, simple makeup, a silver stone bindi, and a simple yet cool hairstyle.
Mallika Dua, Kiran Rao, Sapna Pabbi, Jasleen Royal, Anand Tiwari, and Sumit Tiwari were some of the celebrity guests who were present at the celebration. The bride exchanged rings with the groom that she herself designed. The ring had the longitudes and latitudes of Delhi and Mumbai, indicating that Chaitanya belongs to Mumbai while Shweta Tripathi is from Delhi. Next to the pre-wedding bash, both families headed to Goa for an Indian wedding.
Outfit Choice of Shweta Tripathi for D-day
The couple tied knows with a traditional Indian wedding ceremony at a resort in Goa in a bit dreamy way. Shweta chose to go with a red-mint lehenga by Papa Don’t Preach while the groom went for maroon kurta pajama. Since they chose to go for outfits that were not so loud but still beautiful, you can see the charm they had on their face. Shweta decides to give her own twist to her wedding dress by wearing the dress from the designer who is most known for the dresses of Mehendi or Sangeet. But her choice did well and even she pulled it off very well.
